• The number of undetected and unregistered cases of leprosy in Gaya District is estimated to be approximately 5,000.
• The number of patients at risk to develop deformities (high risk or H/R cases) in the whole of Gaya District (3,152 villages with population 3,996,282) assigned to MAITRI is estimated to be 9,520.

• The number of cases with deformities Gr-I or Gr-II in the whole Gaya district is estimated to be over 4,500.
